...Line of Storms May Produce Small Hail and Winds over 40 mph...
At 525 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles northwest of Green Valley Lake to 6
miles northeast of Villisca. Movement was east at 50 mph.
Penny size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.
Locations impacted include...
Creston, Corning, Lenox, Lake Icaria, Green Valley Lake, Afton,
Lorimor, Prescott, Nodaway, Cromwell, Arispe, Shannon City, Kent,
Thayer, Carbon, Creston Municipal Airport, Corning Municipal Airport,
Green Valley Lake State Park and Lake Icaria State Park.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
south central and southwestern Iowa.
