This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Elevated flooding risk.
  Elevated lightning risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will occur at 
times today and especially tonight. A few storms could briefly 
produce winds up to 50 mph this afternoon and evening. Severe 
weather is not expected at this time however cloud to ground 
lightning will be possible.

Heavy rainfall and flash flooding will be possible today and
tonight across southeast Kansas and southern Missouri. A Flash
Flood Watch is in effect for a large portion of the area. 

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

 Periodic scattered thunderstorms are expected to occur across 
the outlook area at times Friday and Saturday. Locally heavy 
rainfall the potential for flooding will be possible.

Additional shower and thunderstorm chances return by the middle of
next week.

  Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
