statement for the following rivers...


  Osage River affecting St. Thomas


River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast 
precipitation for the next 24 hours.  

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles 
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe 
passage.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Osage River near St. Thomas
* from late Saturday morning until further notice.
* At 09AM Wednesday the stage was 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by late Saturday 
  morning and continue rising to near 26.6 feet by early Monday 
  morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* At 26.6 feet... Lowest house on Old Ferry Road upstream of the 
bridge begins flooding near this height.
