THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Isolated lightning storms are expected to develop along the west
coast sea breeze as it pushes east into the interior counties
around mid day. A collision with the east coast sea breeze is
expected over east central Florida later this afternoon and early
this evening. Conditions are favorable for storms to produce gusty
winds up to 50 mph and frequent lightning strikes. Storm motion
will be toward the east or southeast at 10 to 15 mph.

.EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT...
Above normal temperatures coupled with relative humidity, will
result in peak heat indices around 100 degrees this afternoon
across much of east central Florida. If working or playing
outdoors, take frequent breaks out of the sun and drink plenty of
water.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
Weather and ocean conditions will result in a Moderate risk for
dangerous rip currents at central Florida Atlantic beaches today.
While rip currents will be present all day, the highest threat
will occur during the afternoon due to tidal effects.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Isolated to scattered lightning storms will move east to southeast
at 10 to 15 knots across inland lakes as well as the intracoastal
and nearshore Atlantic waters this afternoon and early evening.
Storms will be capable of producing wind gusts 35 to 40 knots and
dangerous lightning strikes.

.FIRE WEATHER IMPACT...
A Moderate to High fire danger will exist again today. Wind shifts
and increase in wind speeds associated with thunderstorm outflows
and the sea breeze may cause any existing fires to spread more
easily. As we transition to the wet season, lightning strikes may
start new fires.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.
A moderate to high fire weather danger will exist away from the
immediate coast for the spread of any new or existing wildfires.

Afternoon and evening storms will focus on the west side of the
peninsula Tuesday through Thursday. Then increasing moisture will
bring scattered lightning storms across most of east central
Florida Friday into the weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight.
