The National Weather Service in OXNARD has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Northwestern Ventura County in southwestern California... The 
  North central Santa Barbara County Mountains in southwestern 
  California...

* Until 445 PM PDT.

* At 134 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow 
  moving thunderstorms. This will cause flooding in the advisory 
  area, including flooding of low lying areas, roads, and streams. 
  Radar estimated rain rates are around a half inch per hour.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Ventura County Thomas Fire Zone 9...
  Old Man Mountain...
  Highway 33 between Wheeler Springs and Rose Valley Road...
  and Highway 33 from Lockwood Valley Road to the Santa Barbara
  County line.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
