835 AWUS83 KILX 210005 RWSILX ILZ027>031-036>038-040>057-061>063-066>068-071>073-211000- Weather Summary For Central And Southeast Illinois National Weather Service Lincoln IL 705 PM CDT Mon May 20 2019 Partly sunny skies and much cooler air dominated central and southeast Illinois, on Monday. High temperatures reached the mid 50s to mid 60s for much of the area, though some locations south of I-70 reached into the lower 70s. A strong storm system developing over the Plains, will send an initial round of scattered thunderstorms east into portions of Illinois, for tonight and Tuesday morning. After a period of dry weather Tuesday afternoon, a line of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to push across Illinois Tuesday evening. Damaging winds and heavy rainfall will will be possible with these storms. Behind this storm system, dry and much warm weather will move into the Midwest, for Wednesday. Low temperatures tonight will range from the lower 40s in northern Indiana, to the lower 60s in southern Missouri. Highs on Tuesday will range from the mid 50s in northern Illinois, to the lower 80s in southern Illinois. $$
