...Warm With Strong Afternoon Storms Possible...

A warm and humid southwest wind flow will allow afternoon highs to
reach the upper 80s and lower 90s across east central Florida.

Early afternoon thunderstorms will move toward the northeast at 30
to 40 mph, first impacting areas from Lake County eastward through
the I-4 corridor including greater Daytona Beach, Sanford, Orlando
and Kissimmee-Saint Cloud, then storms will affect the Space and
Treasure Coasts between 3 and 7 PM.

Strong wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph, torrential downpours, and
frequent to excessive lightning strikes can be expected with today's
storms. Boaters should also be on the lookout for storms approaching
rapidly from the west, as they will produce locally higher winds and
seas as they push across the Intracoastal Waterway and near shore
Atlantic during the late afternoon and early evening.

There is a moderate risk for life-threatening Rip Currents today at
Atlantic beaches. The threat will be highest between 1200 PM and
600
PM. Always swim near a lifeguard and never swim alone.
