.SYNOPSIS...
Low pressure situated off the Carolina coastline will accelerate
north-northeastward while rapidly strengthening overnight.
Meanwhile, high pressure centered over the lower Mississippi
Valley this afternoon will build eastward into our region tonight,
reaching the Carolina coast by Wednesday afternoon. Low pressure
will emerge from the Desert Southwest on Wednesday afternoon and
will progress eastward across the Red River Valley on Thursday as
high pressure strengthens off the Carolina coast. This weather
pattern will result in onshore winds through early Friday, with
prevailing southerly winds by Friday afternoon and Saturday as
weak low pressure moves northeastward across the Tennessee and
Ohio Valleys. Showers and a few thunderstorms are expected by late
Friday in advance of a front that will stall to our northwest this
weekend.
