Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
723 AM MST Tue Mar 5 2019

.Discussion...

Dry weather will remain over southern Colorado today with
temperatures warming to around freezing across the plains. The
mountains and valleys will see temperatures near seasonal averages.
Another storm system will move into the area for Wednesday bringing
the potential for moderate to heavy snow accumulations to the
Continental Divide through Thursday. Scattered snow showers will
spread into the southeast mountains on Wednesday, though
accumulations will be much lighter and confined to the higher
elevations and west slopes. The plains will remain dry,
warmer, and windy.

The weather pattern will remain active with more chances for rain
and snow showers Friday into Saturday, and again early next week.

Smoke dispersion rates will rise into the Good or better category
across the mountains today while remaining poor across much of the
plains. Increasing winds on Wednesday will result in very good to
excellent afternoon dispersions across the mountains and I-25
corridor while the far eastern plains remain poor.
