872 AWUS83 KILX 281044 RWSILX ILZ027>031-036>038-040>057-061>063-066>068-071>073-281700- Weather Summary For Central And Southeast Illinois National Weather Service Lincoln IL 444 AM CST Thu Feb 28 2019 Partly cloudy skies prevailed across much of central Illinois, however, southern and southeast Illinois were experiencing some overcast skies and light rain, freezing rain and freezing drizzle during the early morning hours. Temperatures were mainly in the teens across the area. The exception was along and south of I-70 where mercury readings were in the 20s. Cloudy conditions will prevail across much of the nations mid section today. However, high pressure will be moving into the region clearing the skies later this evening and into Friday. As we begin to move into the weekend, another weak system will allow for a return of clouds back into the Midwest, with little associated precipitation expected. High temperatures today, will range from the teens across northwest Iowa, to the lower 40s across western Kentucky. Overnight low temperatures, will range from the single digits above and below zero across a large portion of Wisconsin and Iowa, to the uppers 20s across western Kentucky and along the Ohio River. $$ Ousley
