Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
1030 PM EST Wed Feb 27 2019

.DISCUSSION...

A quasi-summertime pattern today with inland moving sea breezes
sparking showers and isolated storms. A sea breeze collision over
the interior produced locally heavy rain especially in Seminole
county and also from Christmas to Titusville. A mid level
disturbance will push east of the area overnight. Until it does,
there will continue to be a small chance for showers mainly across
northern sections. Decreasing instability will prevent any more
lightning/thunder. Hints of stratus and patchy ground fog already
developing and expect that to expand with time overnight.

On Thu, a weak pressure gradient will keep winds light, primarily
from the west turning onshore in a sea breeze along the coast. Drier
air should keep rain chances below 10 percent.

.AVIATION...
IFR/MVFR CIGs expected to develop overnight with patchy fog in a
moist, light wind environment. Stratus should linger well past
sunrise (thru 15-16Z) esp north interior due to light wind regime.

&&

.MARINE...
A light N to NW flow Thu morning will turn onshore (E-NE) near the
coast 10 knots by afternoon. Seas 2-3 ft.
