200 FXUS64 KTSA 150914 AFDTSA Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tulsa OK 314 AM CST Fri Feb 15 2019 .DISCUSSION... Cold front has pushed south into portions of southeast Oklahoma and far northwest Arkansas early this morning. Shallow/cold air-mass will likely get hung in the higher terrain areas of aforementioned area today before making a slow progression southward tonight. Temperatures have already fallen into the upper 20s across portions of far northeast Oklahoma. Areas of freezing rain, mixed with sleet will likely move into northeast Oklahoma this morning with light freezing rain spreading into far northwest Arkansas by late morning or early afternoon. Current winter weather advisory configuration looks good for now with 0.1-0.2 inch ice amounts, including a couple of tenths of sleet possible. Greatest amounts are expected to occur along the Oklahoma/Kansas state line. Could see some lingering areas of light freezing drizzle over far northwest Arkansas this evening before upper wave begins to shift east of the region. Temperatures will remain well below normal through the weekend as another surge of colder air moves into the region on Sunday into Monday. Precipitation chances will begin to increase again Tuesday into Wednesday as upper wave moves into the four corners region. Still the potential for a wintry mix during this time with some minor snow accumulations possible, mainly across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
