Stout WAA/295 K isentropic upglide expands northward out of KS and into the CWA and induces precip sometime toward the morning rush tomorrow. Soundings are showing lack of feeder-seeder mechanism generally through the morning hours with freezing drizzle the dominate precip type. By afternoon likely that we will see mix of freezing rain and snow. Monday night southern flank vort max associated with deep upper trof/strong omega within moist dendritic zone/favorable 850 mb temps will aid in dumping most snowfall over Monona/Harrison/Shelby counties in IA and Thurston/Burt/Washington counties in NE with amounts ranging from 3-5" possible. Elsewhere over the CWA 1-3 inches possible by early Tuesday morning. Because of potential ice accumulation have decided to include lowest southern tier of counties in the advisory. The latest runs indicates general agreement with track of surface low in the vicinity of the KS/OK border before reaching the southern Great Lakes Friday afternoon. At this is point it appears that the bulk of snow accumulations will occur Friday night. Too far out though to try and pin down amounts. Cold conditions over most of the CWA on Thursday with below normal highs generally in the lower/mid 20s north of I-80, and mid 30s/lower 40s south of I-80.
