.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday...An upper level low over Utah
will push across Colorado Thursday. Snow will continue over the
mountains as flow transitions from southwest to northwest. Snow
over the plains will be weakening through the evening, with it
clearing out around midnight. Look for very cold temperatures
overnight and into Thursday. Winds will be gusty out of the
northwest Thursday bringing excellent dispersion over the
mountains and foothills, but less over the plains where the cold
airmass will limit mixing.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...Upper
ridging is expected through Saturday with a dry airmass in place.
A couple of weak upper level storms will bring in chances of snow,
mainly to the mountains, Saturday night, then again Sunday night
and Monday. Temperatures will stay below seasonal normals.
