409 FLCA42 TJSJ 070915 HWOSJU Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service San Juan PR 515 AM AST Mon Jan 7 2019 AMZ710>745-PRZ001>013-081000- San Juan and Vicinity-Northeast-Southeast-Eastern Interior- North Central-Central Interior-Ponce and Vicinity-Nortwest- Western Interior-Mayaguez and Vicinity-Southwest-Culebra-Vieques- The nearshore and off shore Atlantic and Caribbean Coastal Waters- 515 AM AST Mon Jan 7 2019 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Puerto Rico and the adjacent Atlantic Coastal Waters. .Day One...Today and Tonight .Flooding...Moderate rain could lead to minor flooding in areas of poor drainage. .Waves...Choppy seas up to 5 feet expected across the local waters. .Rip Currents...There is a moderate risk of rip currents for the beaches along the north, northeaster and southeastern coasts of Puerto Rico as well as some beaches across south central and southwestern Puerto Rico. Most of the beaches of Vieques and Culebra also have a moderate risk of rip currents. .Days Two through Seven...Tuesday through Sunday Showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast on Wednesday afternoon across central and western PR. This could cause urban and small stream flooding. Also, moderate risk of rip currents are possible for the next several days. .Spotter information statement... An upper trough will approach the local area on Wednesday afternoon and evening, which could bring thunderstorms to the general area, although they may stay off land areas. .Spotter information statement...
