Weather Summary for Puerto Rico
National Weather Service San Juan PR
516 PM AST Tue Jan 1 2019

Mostly sunny skies prevailed across the islands today. Maximum
temperatures were in the mid 80s across the lower elevations and
in the high 70s across the higher elevations. Winds were from the
northeast between 15 to 20 mph.

Although a drier airmass will continue to prevail across the
region, the remnants of a frontal zone will move tonight into
Wednesday morning across portions of the islands. This will result
in partly cloudy skies with passing showers moving over the
northern and eastern portions of the islands. Breezy trade winds
will continue through the work week. Overnight temperatures are
expected to range from the mid 70s across coastal areas to the
high 50s across the higher elevations.

Across the regional waters, seas will range between 5 to 7 feet
and easterly winds will prevail between 15 to 20 knots. A small
craft advisory continues in effect for most of the local waters.
A high risk of rip currents will continue for the north facing
beaches of the islands through at least Thursday.
