327 AWCA82 TJSJ 310748 RWSVI Weather Summary for the U.S. Virgin Islands National Weather Service San Juan PR 348 AM AST Mon Dec 31 2018 Fair weather was observed overnight and this morning, but scattered showers were observed across the outer Atlantic waters. Overnight low temperatures were near the upper 60s to the lower 70s. Strong east to northeast of 10 to 15 kts with high gusts continue during the overnight hours, and is expected to prevail through late Tuesday. Today's high temperatures will rise to the lower to middle 80s. A drier weather pattern is forecast to continue through late Tuesday with an occasional scattered shower possible mainly across the coastal regions of Puerto Rico. Then moisture is expected to move in underneath the surface ridge early Wednesday, thus increasing rain chances. Across the regional waters, seas are still hazardous and a small craft advisory continues in effect for most of the local waters. Winds will remain at 15 to 20 knots with occasional gusts and wave heights will range from 5 to 8 feet. A moderate or high risk of rip currents remains for most of the local beaches. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances.
