This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
343 AWCA82 TJSJ 102019 RWSPR Weather Summary for Puerto Rico National Weather Service San Juan PR 419 PM AST Mon Dec 10 2018 Mostly sunny skies prevailed across the region today under an overall dry and stable airmass. Some clouds and a few afternoon showers were noted over parts of the interior and northwest sections of Puerto Rico. So far most of the activity was of light to moderate intensity and fast moving. Winds were generally from the southeast at 10 to 15 mph with occasionally higher gusts. Daytime high temperatures were in the mid to high 80s along the coastal areas. Relatively dry and stable pattern is expected to continue across the region through at least mid week. However, a few passing clouds and trade wind showers will reach the coastal areas of the local islands at times. Afternoon showers, if any, will likely be focused over northwest Puerto Rico as winds are expected to remain from the east southeast through Tuesday. A slightly wetter pattern is possible on Wednesday through early Thursday as an induced frontal trough will favor better moisture transport and unstable conditions. A return of a more east to northeast wind flow is expected by Friday with increasing winds as the high pressure ridge is to build north of the region. Across the local waters, seas will remain between 2 to 6 feet. Mariners are urged to exercise caution mainly over the offshore waters and local passages. The risk of rip currents is moderate along most of the beaches of Puerto Rico, Vieques and Culebra, except western and south central Puerto Rico. Seas will gradually improve through Wednesday as winds decrease in response to the weak frontal trough forecast to linger north of the islands. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances.
