This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
057 AWCA82 TJSJ 140923 RWSVI Weather Summary for the U.S. Virgin Islands National Weather Service San Juan PR 523 AM AST Wed Nov 14 2018 Skies were variably cloudy across the U.S. Virgin Islands. Some showers brushed the islands. Rainfall in Saint Croix was sixteen hundredths of an inch at the airport in Fredericksted. No rain fell at Charlotte Amalie overnight, although some showers crossed other parts of Saint Thomas and Saint John. Low temperatures overnight occurred with the showers and were generally in the low to mid 70s. As the tropical wave continues to move across the region and an upper level low remains anchored over the region, a very moist and unstable pattern will continue through Thursday. Therefore, periods of moderate to heavy rainfall, gusty winds and frequent lightning strikes are likely across the local islands at times, beginning later today. This could result in urban and gut flooding, as well as landslides in areas of steep terrain. Therefore, a Flash Flood Watch has been issue for the U.S. Virgin Islands through Thursday afternoon. In addition, breezy conditions will prevail across most of the area with winds ranging between 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts near the showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures today will be in the 80s. Across the regional waters...Seas ranging between 6-8 feet will continue as winds between 15-25 MPH prevail across the forecast area. As a result, Small Craft Advisories are now in effect for coastal and offshore waters surrounding the islands. There is a high risk of rip currents in effect for the eastern tip of Saint Croix, while a moderate risk persists elsewhere. Choppy marine conditions and a moderate to high risk of rip currents will likely persist through Saturday. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances. Please verify the status of any Watches...Warnings or Advisories mentioned in this product.
