URGENT - MARINE WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI
951 PM EST Sun Nov 4 2018

...Gales are possible Tuesday...

.More persistent gale force gusts can be expected through the
Mackinac Straits this evening into the overnight due to
enhancement from funneling effects. Hence, a Gale Warning remains
in effect for far northern Lake Huron. Further south, Small Craft
Advisories for wind and elevated waves remain in effect for the
nearshore waters.

A strong low pressure system will lift through the central Great
Lakes on Tuesday. Widespread southwest gales are likely Tuesday
through Wednesday as this system passes with some potential for a
period high end gales conditional on the intensity and exact track
of this low. After a brief reprieve on Thursday, gales potentially
return for the end of the week as very cold air wraps east into the
region around another passing low pressure system.
