This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
801 AWCA82 TJSJ 150122 CCA RWSPR Weather Summary for Puerto Rico...CORRECTED National Weather Service San Juan PR 922 PM AST Sun Oct 14 2018 Cloudy skies continued across the islands today. This cloudiness prevented widespread shower activity to develop over land areas as previous days. However, a few isolated showers are still possible over the northwestern portions of Puerto Rico during the rest of the afternoon hours. Winds were from the southeast between 10 to 15 mph, sea breeze variations were observed late in the afternoon over northwestern Puerto Rico. High temperatures were in the mid to high 80s across the lower elevations to the high 70s in the higher elevations. A weak tropical wave moving across the windward islands will move overnight into Monday afternoon across the forecast area. This will increase passing showers across the smaller islands through the morning hours and then aid in the development of afternoon shower and thunderstorm activity over the western sections of Puerto Rico as well across the San Juan area. Urban and small stream flooding is expected with this activity. Between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday, the remnants of tropical cyclone Nadine and a tropical wave behind will increase moisture once again and the development of showers and thunderstorms over the islands and across the Caribbean waters. Drier air fills in during the second part of the week and diurnally induced afternoon convection is expected over the western sections of the island. Across the regional waters, mariners can expect seas between 3 to 5 feet tonight and winds from the southeast between 5 and 15 knots. Winds will increase on Monday from the east between 15 to 20 knots and seas will also increase between 4 to 6 feet. For the beach goers, there will be a moderate risk of rip currents across the northern and southern beaches of Puerto Rico including Culebra and Vieques through next week. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances.
