This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
282 FXUS62 KMLB 281344 AFDMLB Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Melbourne FL 944 AM EDT Fri Sep 28 2018 .DISCUSSION... Hot and mostly dry forecast today as drier mid level air continues to advect into the region from the east and ridge aloft remains extended across Florida, suppressing convective development. MOS guidance keeps rain chances out of the forecast for much of the area, but HRRR and local WRF continue to indicate a few showers and storms over the far interior as the sea breeze moves inland during the mid to late afternoon. Will therefore keep a slight chance of rain mentioned for these well inland areas, with a dry forecast for the remainder of east central Florida. Mostly to partly sunny skies and below normal convective coverage will again lead to another hot day, with highs along the coast around 90 degrees and low to mid 90s forecast for areas west of I-95. Forecast is on track with no changes planned. && .AVIATION...Mainly VFR. Any isolated showers/storms expected to remain limited to areas near to west of KMCO from mid afternoon through sunset. However, due to well below normal rain chances today, will keep tempo groups or mention of VCSH/VCTS out of the far inland TAF sites for now. && .MARINE...SE winds will become E/SE into the afternoon as the sea breeze develops and moves inland. Wind speeds will increase to around 10 knots as the sea breeze forms, with seas ranging from 3-4 feet nearshore to 4-5 feet offshore in a ENE swell. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
