076 AWCA82 TJSJ 310918 RWSVI Weather Summary for the U.S. Virgin Islands National Weather Service San Juan PR 518 AM AST Tue Jul 31 2018 Partly cloudy skies prevailed across the forecast area overnight and early this morning with passing showers noted across the surrounding waters as well as over the local islands. Temperatures were in the upper 70s to low 80s at lower elevations under easterly winds at around 10 mph. A seasonal weather pattern will continue to prevail across the local islands during the next few days with passing showers at times. The best chance for shower activity is expected on Wednesday as an area of cloudiness and moisture moves across the local islands. Shower activity is expected to increase across the eastern Caribbean by the end of the week. Across the local waters, east winds of 15 to 20 knots and seas of 3 to 6. Small craft should exercise caution across most local waters. Easterly winds will prevail across most local waters. There is a moderate risk of rip currents across Saint Croix. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances.
