.NOW...
Showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop over east
central Florida and along the Treasure coast. These will move to
the east during the next few hours. Coverage is forecast to become
scattered to numerous by late afternoon and early evening,
especially south of Sanford and Orlando as some of these storms
push back toward the east coast. A few strong storms are likely
once again capable of producing frequent lightning strikes, gusty
winds of 40 to 50 mph and small hail. Slow storm motion toward the
east at around 10 mph will produce some heavy downpours and a
quick one to three inches in localized areas if multiple storms
pass over the same area. This may allow for some nuisance flooding
locally in low-lying areas.
