This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Elevated lightning risk.
  Limited excessive heat risk.

DISCUSSION...

 Isolated storms may develop today across the outlook area. A
 large storm complex will develop across Kansas and Oklahoma and
 spread into southeastern Kansas the Missouri Ozarks late 
 tonight. Strong to locally severe storms with winds up to 60 mph
 will be possible. 

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

 Thunderstorms may be ongoing Thursday morning with additional
 storm development Thursday afternoon and evening. There will be 
 at least a limited risk for strong to severe storms.

 Afternoon heat index values in the middle to upper 90s can be 
 expected this week with values around 100 degrees likely Friday 
 and Saturday along and west of the I-49 corridor.

  Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
