This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
866 FXUS64 KCRP 121529 AAB AFDCRP Area Forecast Discussion...UPDATED National Weather Service Corpus Christi TX 1029 AM CDT Sat May 12 2018 .DISCUSSION... Minor adjustments to the grids in the first period, mainly winds and dew points. Observed winds are a bit higher than previously thought, so did increase the winds. This results in SCEC conditions over the southern bays and nearshore. That is about all that is needed at this time. && .MARINE... As stated above, winds increase results in SCEC for the southern bays/nearshore today. && .PREVIOUS DISCUSSION... /Issued 629 AM CDT Sat May 12 2018/ DISCUSSION...See updated aviation discussion below. AVIATION... Patchy fog observed from ALI-BEA will lift by mid morning. MVFR Ceilings will become VFR by late morning as daytime heating matures. Expect less wind today but still could observe occasional gusts 20-24 knots in the afternoon. Winds decouple after midnight tonight and will allow for better chance for fog development with IFR visibilities possible across inland airports. PREVIOUS DISCUSSION... /Issued 339 AM CDT Sat May 12 2018/ SHORT TERM (Today through Sunday)... Tranquil weather pattern will continue in the short term with mid level ridge parked over South Texas. A little less wind today and Sunday as pressure gradient weakens a bit. This will allow for max temps to nudge upward a degree or so but increases potential for overnight fog as well. Cannot rule out a stray shower in the coastal waters during morning hours due to speed/moisture convergence. LONG TERM (Sunday Night through Friday)... Continuation of a dry and warm forecast across South Texas through most of next week, as the area remains under the influence of an upper level ridge to our west and a trough over the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Although can't rule out a few showers to develop across our west and over the waters early next week, best chances for rain appear to be Wednesday through early Thursday, as a short wave makes its way across our CWA. At this time went only with conservative 20 PoPs across our western counties. The ridge builds back up by the end of next week, and therefore kept the rest of the period dry. Temperatures will continue to be above normal through the end of the week. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
