Weather Summary for Puerto Rico...CORRECTED
National Weather Service San Juan PR
529 AM AST Thu Apr 12 2018

Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies were observed across the
forecast area during the overnight and early morning hours. A few
isolated to scattered showers were detected over the local waters
with a few of them moving over portions of eastern PR, Vieques and
Culebra. No significant rainfall accumulations were reported.
Minimum temperatures were in the low to mid 70s at lower
elevations and in the mid to upper 60s at higher elevations. Winds
were light and variable over land.

Skies should remain unchanged through at least the late morning
hours with a few passing showers moving over portions of eastern
Puerto Rico and adjacent islands. This will be followed by an
increase in cloud cover along with showers and possibly isolated
thunderstorms, especially over the interior and western Puerto
Rico in the afternoon. Elsewhere, a few passing showers are
possible. A similar weather pattern with an increase in shower intensity
and coverage is expected on Friday as an easterly wave and
associated moisture approaches the local area. Maximum
temperatures will range in the mid to upper 80s at lower
elevations and mid to upper 70s at higher elevations.

Hazardous seas and a moderate to high risk of rip currents are
expected to continue through at least the upcoming weekend across
the Atlantic waters and north facing beaches, respectively. Seas
5 to 7 feet with easterly winds 15 to 20 knots will continue.
