URGENT - MARINE WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DETROIT/PONTIAC MI
333 AM EDT THU MAR 29 2018

...ELEVATED WAVES TONIGHT. STRONG GALES POSSIBLE SATURDAY NIGHT...

.LIGHT WINDS WILL CONTINUE TODAY AS HIGH PRESSURE SETTLES TO THE
SOUTHEAST AND A WEAK FRONT STALLS OVER THE AREA. NORTH TO NORTHWEST
FLOW WILL INCREASE TONIGHT AS LOW PRESSURE LIFTS FROM THE OHIO
VALLEY INTO THE EASTERN GREAT LAKES. GUSTS SHOULD PEAK OUT NEAR 30
KNOTS OVER THE OPEN WATERS OF LAKE HURON. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORIES
REMAIN IN EFFECT DUE TO THE HIGHER WAVES THAT THESE WINDS WILL
PRODUCE. A BRIEF LULL IN WINDS AND WAVES WILL OCCUR FRIDAY INTO
FRIDAY NIGHT BEFORE ANOTHER STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TRACKS INTO
THE REGION ON SATURDAY. THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING A GOOD POTENTIAL OF
GALES FROM SATURDAY INTO SATURDAY NIGHT AS IT CROSSES THE NORTHERN
GREAT LAKES. STRONGEST WINDS LOOK MOST LIKELY OVER NORTHERN LAKE
HURON AT THIS TIME.
