For today expect chances for rain and snow to expand into western areas of the region, including Saskatchewan, Montana and Wyoming, and the western Dakotas. Highs will range from the 20s over eastern portions of the Northern Plains to the lower 50s in southwestern South Dakota. Overnight lows tonight will range from the single digits in northern Minnesota to near 30 in southern South Dakota. For Friday Eastern Montana, South Dakota and southern Minnesota will have chances for rain and snow. $$ RK
