Surface high pressure will sink southeastward today, leaving mostly clear skies, warmer temperatures and breezy west southwesterly winds behind. 20ft winds will be 5-10mph with gusts around 15mph possible, which is not reaching the required red flag criteria, however minimum RH values will be in the mid/upper 20s and could fall below 25% today. Winds will become light and variable tonight. As winds become more southerly tomorrow, moisture starts to return and minimum RHs will not fall much below 50%. and southerly tomorrow. The next chance of rain will be Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon as a weak front moves into the Tennessee Valley. Isolated thunderstorms are possible Friday night into Saturday morning. Rainfall amounts will range from 0.25-0.50". Will get a quick break of dry conditions Saturday night into Sunday before our next system brings showers and isolated thunderstorms back Sunday afternoon.
