...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EST THIS
AFTERNOON...
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Coastal
Flood Warning, which is in effect until 3 PM EST this afternoon.
The Coastal Flood Advisory is no longer in effect.
* LOCATIONS...Coastal areas of Middlesex County, Monmouth County
and Ocean County.
* COASTAL FLOODING...Moderate flooding is occuring with this this
morning's high tide.
* TIMING...High tide on the oceanfront occurs is occuring now.
High tide on the back bays and on Raritan Bay occurs later than
the high tide on the oceanfront.
* SURGE...Around 2.0 to 2.5 feet above the astronomical tide.
* WAVES...From 8 to 14 feet on the ocean.
* IMPACTS...Numerous roadways are expected to flood and minor to
moderate property damage is possible. A strong long period
easterly swell will continue to cause additional beach erosion.
* OUTLOOK...Residual minor flooding is possible around the time
of tonight's high tide.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
This Coastal Flood Warning means that moderate tidal flooding is
imminent. Be prepared for rising water levels and take
appropriate action to protect life and property. Follow the
recommendations of local emergency management officials.
Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be
deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in
danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly
repairs.

water.weather.gov/ahps for additional water level and flood
impact information for your local tide gauge.
