This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
422 AWCA82 TJSJ 060841 RWSPR Weather Summary for Puerto Rico National Weather Service San Juan PR 441 AM AST Sat Jan 6 2018 Doppler radar indicated isolated to scattered showers moving west northwestward from the local waters with few of them affecting the U.S. Virgin Islands, Vieques, Culebra as well as the eastern and southeastern sections of Puerto Rico but the accumulations were minimal. The overnight minimum temperatures were in the low to mid 70s across the lower elevations and in the 60s across the higher elevations. The winds were mainly from the east southeast at less than 10 mph. Small areas of low level moisture embedded in the trades will continue to move across the local islands from time to time producing brief periods of passing showers during the rest of the morning hours. Isolated to scattered showers are also expected to develop this afternoon across western and interior sections of Puerto Rico. However, not significant or widespread precipitation is expected. Latest satellite images are showing another area of low level moisture over the Leeward islands that is forecast to move west and affect the local islands late this afternoon and tonight. This area of moisture is expected to remain across the region through Sunday morning. Model guidance suggests that a drier and more stable airmass will move over the region Sunday afternoon, limiting the shower activity through at least mid week. Seas up to 10 feet are expected across the Atlantic waters today with seas up to 8 feet across the Anegada Passage. Seas will increase across the rest of the local waters today and tonight. Therefore, Small Craft Advisories are in effect for most of the local waters. Additionally there is a High Surf Advisory for the the northern shores of Puerto Rico and Culebra and a high risk of rip currents for all of the local islands except the south shores of Puerto Rico. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances.
