Bulk Download Help
This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
305 AWCA82 TJSJ 100822 RWSVI Weather Summary for the U.S. Virgin Islands National Weather Service San Juan PR 422 AM AST Sun Dec 10 2017 Variably cloudy skies prevailed across much of the region overnight, as the prevailing easterly trade winds continued to transport occasional patches of low to mid level moisture across the area. Periods of passing showers accompanied these cloud fragments. Most of the showers were of light to moderate intensity and left little accumulations. Winds over land were calm to light and variable. Early morning low temperatures were in the low to mid 70s along coastal areas. A fair and stable weather pattern with mostly sunny skies can be expected for the rest of the day, as the surface high pressure north of the region will remain the dominant weather feature. The moderate trade winds today will however continue to bring occasional patches of shallow moisture across the coastal waters and local islands. This will be sufficient to support the development of a few brief afternoon showers in isolated areas mainly downwind of the islands over the coastal waters. Widespread precipitation and significant rainfall accumulations are not anticipated across the islands for the next few days. Across the regional waters...Mariners can expect slowly subsiding but hazardous seas of 5 to 7 feet, and winds from east northeast between 10 to 15 knots with higher gusts. Small craft advisories will continue in effect for most of the local waters through this afternoon. There is a moderate to high risk of rip currents for some of the north and east facing beaches of Saint Thomas, Saint John and Saint Croix. This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances. Please verify the status of any Watches...Warnings or Advisories mentioned in this product.
