This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
412 FXUS64 KMAF 222337 AFDMAF Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX 537 PM CST Wed Nov 22 2017 .DISCUSSION... Please see the 00Z aviation discussion below. && .AVIATION... VFR conditions with light/variable winds will continue the next 24 hours. && .PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 217 PM CST Wed Nov 22 2017/ DISCUSSION... A very amplified pattern over our part of the Conus will continue to bring periodic cool shots along with warm days in between. The cool airmass across the region currently will modify for Thanksgiving Day with highs back up into the 70's. A shortwave crossing the northern Rockies late this week will dampen the large upper ridge that has set up over the western U.S. Ahead of this system, expect a very warm Friday with highs in record territory. The current record high for Midland Int'l for 11/24 is 83 degrees and we are forecasting very near that. Fortunately, winds aren't looking too strong Friday so other than some elevated fire danger, things should be fairly quiet. A "cold" front arrives Saturday, but temperatures look to still remain above normal even behind the boundary. Upper ridging builds over the area early next week with well above normal temperatures making a come-back. We could also see increased fire danger Monday and Tuesday. Our next strong front is expected around Tuesday of next week with temperatures finally falling back to normal. With low-level moisture remaining well to our east and south, the forecast remains dry. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
