This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
662 AWCA82 TJSJ 282119 RRA RWSPR Weather Summary for Puerto Rico...DELAYED National Weather Service San Juan PR 519 PM AST Mon Aug 28 2017 Mostly sunny skies became variably cloudy during the late morning and afternoon hours, as local and diurnal effects lead to the development of showers and thunderstorms across much of the east, central and west interior sections of Puerto Rico. Some of the showers and strong thunderstorms produced periods of heavy rains and dangerous lightning. This lead to minor urban and small stream flooding and rapid rises along rivers and streams in some areas. Afternoon high temperatures were in the high 80s to near 90 degree along the coastal areas. Winds were mainly from the east, except for local sea breeze variations with higher gusts along the coastal areas. Tropical moisture, clouds with embedded showers and isolated thunderstorms will increase across the coastal waters overnight through Tuesday,as a tropical wave will approach and move across the region. By later tonight and during the early morning hours, expect passing showers to reach the east and southeast coastal sections of the islands. This may lead to periods of moderate to locally heavy rains but most will be of short duration. On Tuesday afternoon, expect the showers and thunderstorm activity to be focused more along the northern half and northwest sections of the islands as winds are expected to become more southeasterly. Mariners can expect seas at 5 feet or less and winds of 10 to 15 knots. In addition, shower and thunderstorm activity is expected to increase across the local waters overnight through early Tuesday morning. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances.
