URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

...RED FLAG WARNING LATE SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY 
EVENING SOUTHWEST NORTH DAKOTA...

.A cold front will move across northwestern North Dakota late this
morning, then sweep southeast across central and southwestern North
Dakota in the afternoon before reaching the James Valley Saturday
evening. South to southwest winds ahead of the front will shift 
sharply to the northwest at 20 mph, with gusts to 30 mph.

The cold frontal passage and associated wind shift and gusty winds,
in combination with minimum relative humidities between 11 and 15
percent, high temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s, and dry
fuels, will produce critical fire weather conditions from late Saturday
morning through early Saturday evening in southwestern North Dakota.
Thus, a Red Flag Warning has been issued.

FUELS...

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Red Flag 
Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 8 PM MDT 
this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Golden Valley, Billings, Stark, Slope,
  Hettinger, Bowman, and Adams Counties.

* WIND...Northwest winds between 20 and 30 mph. 

* HUMIDITY...Minimum relative humidities of 11 to 15 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...In the upper 80s to lower 90s.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop could spread rapidly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
will occur, which can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
