366 AWCA82 TJSJ 262026 RWSPR Weather Summary for Puerto Rico National Weather Service San Juan PR 426 PM AST Wed Jul 26 2017 The abundant moisture associated with a tropical wave which continued to move south of Puerto Rico this afternoon resulted in periods of cloudiness with showers and isolated thunderstorms during most of the morning and early afternoon hours. However, by late afternoon variably cloudy skies became partly cloudy, as shower activity diminished over most of the islands. Expect the tropical wave and trailing moisture to continue to exit the region overnight, with a drier airmass expected to filter in on Thursday. Except for local sea breeze variations,winds were from the east to southeast at 10 to 15 mph. Afternoon high temperatures in the mid to high 80s. Overnight expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies over land areas. However, by early morning a few passing showers may briefly affect the windward side of the islands. For the rest of the day on Thursday, expect mostly fair weather skies except for diurnally induced showers and possible isolated thunderstorms mainly over the west interior sections of Puerto Rico. Minimum coastal temperatures should be in the high 70s to low 80s. Winds will be mostly light and variable overnight increasing to 10 to 15 mph and occasionally higher gust with sea breeze variations. Across the regional waters...tranquil marine conditions with seas at 2 to 4 feet near shore and occasional 5 to 6 feet offshore.
