Weather Summary for Puerto Rico
National Weather Service San Juan PR
426 PM AST Wed Jul 26 2017

The abundant moisture associated with a tropical wave which continued
to move south of Puerto Rico this afternoon resulted in periods of
cloudiness with showers and isolated thunderstorms during most of
the morning and early afternoon hours. However, by late afternoon
variably cloudy skies became partly cloudy, as shower activity
diminished over most of the islands. Expect the tropical wave and
trailing moisture to continue to exit the region overnight, with a
drier airmass expected to filter in on Thursday. Except for local
sea breeze variations, winds were from the east to southeast at 10
to 15 mph. Afternoon high temperatures in the mid to high 80s.

Overnight expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies over land areas.
However, by early morning a few passing showers may briefly affect
the windward side of the islands. For the rest of the day on Thursday,
expect mostly fair weather skies except for diurnally induced showers
and possible isolated thunderstorms mainly over the west interior
sections of Puerto Rico. Minimum coastal temperatures should be in
the high 70s to low 80s. Winds will be mostly light and variable overnight
increasing to 10 to 15 mph and occasionally higher gust with sea breeze
variations.

Across the regional waters...tranquil marine conditions with seas at
2 to 4 feet near shore and occasional 5 to 6 feet offshore. Winds will
be from the east southeast at 10 to 15 knots.
