Please contact our office at (904) 741-4370, if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. .DISCUSSION...High pressure will dominate the pattern today with sinking air tending to suppress thunderstorm activity. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible this afternoon near the burn site as the sea breeze moves inland. Otherwise, any thunderstorms that do develop will be mainly along the convergence of the Gulf and Atlantic sea breezes and will tend to be centered near the St Johns River and to the west. Offshore winds will continue for the next hour or two as the sea breeze hasn't developed yet, but winds will shift southeasterly once the seabreeze develops and pushes inland after 2 PM.
