109 AWUS83 KGLD 052000 RWSGLD COZ090>092-KSZ001>004-013>016-027>029-041-042-NEZ079>081-061100- Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains National Weather Service Goodland KS 200 PM MDT Mon Jun 5 2017 /300 PM CDT Mon Jun 5 2017/ A clear sky was observed across the Tri-State area early this morning with sunrise temperatures in the low 50s to low 60s. Winds were generally from the west to southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Fair weather cumulus clouds developed during the late morning and early afternoon hours. 2 PM MDT (3 PM CDT) temperatures were in the upper 70s to upper 80s and range from 79 degrees north of Kit Carson Colorado to 89 degrees in Hill City Kansas. Winds were from the southeast at 10 to 20 mph. OUTLOOK... showers and thunderstorms are expected over parts of far eastern Colorado this evening. The primary threats will be outflow winds gusting to 55 mph, small hail and locally heavy rainfall. Low temperatures will remain above normal with mid 50s to low 60s. Dry weather is anticipated Tuesday morning with an increase in thunderstorm activity during the afternoon and overnight hours as a weather system moves into the area. Although severe weather is possible the primary threat will be locally heavy rainfall. High temperatures will remain above normal with low to upper 80s expected. Precipitation chances continue Wednesday with near normal temperatures. $$
