Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NW Oregon and SW Washington
National Weather Service Portland OR
240 PM PDT Tue Apr 11 2017

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...Rain returns tonight as a couple of low
pressure systems track south to north off the coast. Breezy
Wednesday and Wednesday night at coast, and breezy inland
Wednesday morning. Cool and showery remainder of work week with
thunderstorms possible Thursday. Weekend still looking dry.

.DISCUSSION...Rain will spread across the district this evening as
a warm front lifts north. The low will track south to north
offshore tonight. A weaker low follows similar track Wednesday. A
cool showery period follows Wednesday through Friday as an upper
trough sets up over the Pacific Northwest. During this time the
unstable air mass may support thunderstorms. Currently it looks
like Thursday has the best chance. But confidence not high enough
to add it to the forecast at this time. Looks like a dry weekend
as systems approaching the west coast splits and heads south of
the district.
