This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
529 AWCA82 TJSJ 072112 CCB RWSPR Weather Summary for Puerto Rico...CORRECTED National Weather Service San Juan PR 512 PM AST Fri Apr 7 2017 Skies were mostly sunny across most of Puerto Rico and the adjacent islands, as high pressure dominated the local weather conditions. The exception was over portions of the interior and west sections of Puerto rico where showers formed and produced periods of moderate to locally heavy downpours in isolated spots. Daytime high temperatures were again near the mid 80s along coastal areas. Except for local sea breezes winds were from the east at 10 to 15 mph with occasional higher gusts mainly along the coastal areas. Mid to upper level high pressure ridge is expected to hold across the region at least until Saturday, with limited moisture transport expected across most of the region. However, by late Saturday and through Sunday, the surface high north of the region is forecast to weaken as an induce prefrontal trough sets up across the region. This will support a gradual increase in low level moisture convergence and southeast trade winds. As a result some of the afternoon shower activity will be locally enhanced and may lead to periods of isolated heavy rainfall mainly across parts of the west and northwest sections of Puerto Rico. Afternoon high temperatures are forecast to continue in the mid to upper 80s. Mariners should expect winds 15 knots or less and seas up to 5 feet mainly across the offshore waters and the local passages. There is a high risk of rip currents along the Atlantic shoreline of Puerto Rico. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances.
