...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in North
Dakota...
Souris River near Foxholm affecting Ward County
Souris River near Towner affecting McHenry County
Souris River near Bantry affecting McHenry County
Souris River near Westhope affecting Bottineau County
Willow Creek near Willow City affecting McHenry and Bottineau
Counties
For the Souris River near Foxholm, minor flooding is forecast.
For the Souris River near Towner and Bantry, and Willow Creek
near Willow City, moderate flooding is forecast. For the Souris
River near Westhope, major flooding is forecast.
.Releases from Lake Darling and runoff from melting snow continue to
make their way through the Souris River and its tributaries. Most
locations are still seeing rising water levels and this is expected
to continue through the weekend into early next week.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Safety message...Do not drive into areas where water tops the
roadway. Turn around...Don't drown. Avoid driving on flooded roads.
A follow-up product will be issued.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 1456 feet by
Saturday evening. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 1457 feet...Widespread flooding west and north of town
with many roads affected.

* At 10:00 PM Thursday the stage was 1440 feet.
* Flood stage is 1440 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow early afternoon and
continue to rise to near 1441 feet by Wednesday morning. additional
rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 1440 feet...Water begins crossing the road several
hundred feet to the left of the bridge. No towns or major roads are
flooded.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 1446 feet by
Wednesday early afternoon. Additional rises may be possible
thereafter.
* Impact...At 1447 feet...County roads are closed with 3 houses cut
off per Emergency Manager.
