Light snow in western areas of South Dakota will also continue through the morning hours. Expect chilly conditions today, as highs range from the single digits below zero in southern Canada, to the teens above in southern South Dakota. Looking ahead, a warm up is in the forecast for the Northern Plains. Warmer weather will begin filtering into the west on Thursday, spreading across the rest of the region Friday. Above average temperatures are expected to persist through the weekend and the upcoming week. $$
