Predawn temperatures were in the 20s and 30s with breezy northwest winds. Light snow will continue across eastern Nebraska and Iowa for today as a strong weather system moves eastward. Meanwhile the rest of the central plains will remain dry and cool with surface high pressure building over the area. Daytime highs will range from the 20s in Nebraska to the upper 40s across eastern Oklahoma. Cold and quiet weather will be in store for the Heartland tonight as surface high pressure continues to build southward. Overnight lows will range from the single digits in northern Nebraska to the mid 20s in central Oklahoma. $$
