Predawn temperatures were in the 20s with light and variable winds. Surface high pressure will move slowly eastward across the central plains today with southerly winds returning to the Heartland. Daytime highs will range from the mid 40s in eastern Nebraska to the warmer 60s over central Oklahoma. Surface low pressure will deepen and move east into northwestern Kansas for tonight. Southerly winds will keep temperatures a bit warmer at night across the region, with overnight lows ranging from near 30 degrees in southern Nebraska to low 40s in central Oklahoma. $$
