This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
882 AWCA82 TJSJ 172006 RWSVI Weather Summary for the U.S. Virgin Islands National Weather Service San Juan PR 406 PM AST Mon Oct 17 2016 Partly cloudy skies prevailed across the U.S. Virgin Islands this afternoon. No shower activity was observed over land areas. However, few showers were observed across the surrounding coastal waters. Temperatures ranged from the upper 80s to the lower 90s. Winds were from the east southeast at around 10 mph. An increase in showers and thunderstorms are expected for Tuesday, as an area of low pressure develops northwest of the area. This area of low pressure will induce a very moist southerly flow across the region. This wet pattern is expected to continue through mid week. Across the coastal waters, seas up to 8 feet and winds up to 15 knots are expected. Small Craft advisories are in effect for the Atlantic waters and local passages. A High Surf Advisory will be in effect starting late this afternoon for the northern exposed coasts of the northern U.S. Virgin Islands. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances.
