167 AWUS83 KDDC 171707 RWSDDC KSZ030-031-043>046-061>066-074>081-084>090-180330- Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas National Weather Service Dodge City KS 1207 PM CDT Mon Oct 17 2016 /1107 AM MDT Mon Oct 17 2016/ Skies were mostly clear across western Kansas last night with a few higher clouds. Winds were out of the southwest at around 10-15 mph. Lows ranged from the low to mid 40s in western Kansas to the low to mid 60s further east into the central portions of the state. Strong westerly flow is expected over the Central Plains this afternoon. At the surface, a front will move southeast across Kansas. Dry and quiet weather is expected for today. A red flag warning will be in effect through the afternoon across much of extreme western Kansas. Conditions will be favorable for fires with low relative humidity and frequent wind gusts in excess of 20 mph. Winds will be out of the south at around 10-15 mph today. Highs today are expected to climb into the mid to upper 90s in eastern Colorado and across Kansas. A few places may top 100. Lows will range from the low to upper 40s in eastern Colorado and northwestern Kansas to the mid to upper 50s in the eastern portions of the state. && This product will not be produced after 0930 PM 15 November.
