445 AWCA82 TJSJ 220851 RWSVI Weather Summary for the U.S. Virgin Islands National Weather Service San Juan PR 451 AM AST SUN MAY 22 2016 Partly cloudy skies were observed across the U.S. Virgin Islands overnight and no showers were observed. Winds were mainly from the east to southeast at around 10 mph. Temperatures were around 80 degrees. A similar weather pattern is expected to continue today. A few passing showers are expected, mainly across the surrounding waters and breezy conditions will prevail during the next few days. Temperatures will be back into the mid to upper 80s today. Moisture will increase today with a few more showers, mainly over the surrounding waters. High clouds are expected to develop early this week for a more filtered sun. Todays highs will again be in the mid to upper 80s. Winds up to 20 knots and seas up to 5 feet can be expected across the local waters of the Atlantic today. There is a moderate risk of rip currents across the southern coasts of Saint Croix. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances.
