REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DODGE CITY KS

Very little in the way of active weather was observed as only high 
clouds were present through early morning. Low temperatures this 
morning ranged from the lower 60s in eastern Colorado to the lower 
70s in north central Kansas. 

Upper level ridging over the Central Rockies will move into the 
adjacent plains by Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, surface troughing 
will continue to develop on the lee side of the Rockies through 
Tuesday evening. The tranquil weather pattern will continue through 
Tuesday. However, there will be a chance for some afternoon and 
evening thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon. These storms are 
expected to stay below severe limits.

Highs today will top out into the lower and mid 90s across the 
Central Plains. Lows tonight will range from the upper 50s in 
eastern Colorado to the upper 60s in central Oklahoma.
