Temperatures around the area at 3 p.m. ranged from 73 degrees at Taylorville to 84 degrees at Galesburg. Canadian high pressure will continue to build southward into the Midwest bringing cooler and drier air through early tonight. The next weather system over the Northern Rockies this afternoon is expected to move into the region late tonight and Friday bringing our next chance for showers and thunderstorms. Low temperatures tonight will range from the mid 50s to mid 60s across the region. Highs on Friday will struggle to reach the lower 70s over central Wisconsin to the lower 90s over central and southern Missouri. $$
